China's Nuke Envoy Visits S. Korea

China's top nuclear negotiator, Wu Dawei, arrived in South Korea on Tuesday morning.

Wu said he came to the South to coordinate positions on resuming the six-party denuclearization talks between China and South Korea. He also stressed that he will not end at merely delivering North Korea’s stance to the South Korean government.

Wu also said that he met with former U.S. president Jimmy Carter and a group of former global leaders and exchanged opinions with them in Beijing.

Carter and “The Elders” is now on their visit to North Korea.

Wu will be in Seoul until Friday. He is expected to share views on conditions to restart the stalled six-way talks with a series of South Korean officials, including South Korea’s chief nuclear envoy Wi Sung-lac, Foreign Minister Kim Sung-hwan, and the South Korean president’s top security aide Chun Young-woo.
