S.Korea-Panama Sign Informatization MOU

Minister of Public Administration and Security Maeng Hyung-kyu and Panama’s head of the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG), Eduardo Jaén signed a memorandum of understanding for collaboration regarding Panama’s informatization on Tuesday.

The MOU contains agreements on a wide variety of collaborations on informatization. It includes policies pertaining to an electronic government and technological support. Other collaborations are in relation to the promotion of human resource exchange, the pursuit of joint projects, and measures to address adverse effects of informatization.

The two nations will also operate a committee for bilateral cooperation on informatization. Vice ministerial-level officials from both nations will be joint chiefs of the group.

In addition, to improve the environment for using information technology in Panama, Panama, along with South Korea, will build a center to enable access to information. The opening ceremony for the center will be held in Panama City in September.
