No Korean casualties have been reported from the powerful tornado that blasted through the southern and central United States.

The South Korean consulate general in Atlanta has surveyed the damage in the states of Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee through local ethnic Korean associations.

The consulate says factories run by Korean firms including the Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group have suffered no major damage from the tornado.
