Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives John Boehner says the House hopes to ratify pending trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama before the House takes its August recess.

Boehner said during a news conference in Washington on Thursday that now is the time for the U.S. to expand market access for American-made goods in all three of these nations.

He said putting Americans back to work is the top priority of the House, and enacting these critical agreements will help create jobs and provide a needed boost to the U.S. economy.

Boehner said he looks forward to working with the Obama administration to pass these trade agreements in tandem.
