N.Korean Leader Kim Jong-il Visiting China

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has arrived in China for a visit. A senior South Korean government official says Kim's special train crossed the Tumen River into Tumen City on Friday morning and arrived in Mudanjiang City in Heilongjiang Province later in the day.

The official said the North Korean leader arrived at a hotel in Mudanjiang City on Friday afternoon accompanied by an entourage of about 70 officials. The official said Kim's next stop is not known.

The official said it's also not known whether Kim is accomanied by his third son Jong-un. Reports in Seoul said earlier in the day that Jong-un, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission of the North's Workers' Party, arrived in China for a visit.

The reclusive North Korean leader's latest visit to China is his second in nine months following his trip to the country last August.
