KOSPI Closes Tuesday 0.60% Higher

South Korean stocks gained on Tuesday following a rebound in Chinese stock markets on Monday, which also drew support from earnings-led gains on Wall Street.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOPSI) ended the day point-60 percent higher after gaining 13-point-66 points. It closed the day at two-thousand-300-point-16.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also gained, adding three-point-29 points, or point-42 percent, to close the day at 784-point-70.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened point-two won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-123-point-eight won.
