KOSPI Close Friday Up 0.28%

South Korean stocks gained on Friday following White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow's confirmation that Chinese-U.S. trade talks will resume later this month.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) closed the day six-point-25 points, or point-28 percent higher, to end the day at two-thousand-247-point-05.  

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining eleven-point-12 points, or one-point-46 percent, to close the day at 772-point-30.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened five-point-two won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-124-point-nine won.
