The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 18-point-52 points, or one-point-09 percent, on Thursday to close at one-thousand-686-point-24.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose, gaining ten-point-93 points, or two-point-16 percent, to finish at 516-point-61.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-nine won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-232-point-eight won.
