KOSPI Ends Thursday Up 1.49%

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 46-point-29 points, or one-point-49 percent on Thursday, to close at three-thousand-160-point-84.

The KOSPI took its cue from a rally on Wall Street, fueled by Joe Biden's inauguration as U.S. president. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining three-point-74 points, or zero-point-38 percent, to close at 981-point-40.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-one won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-98-point-two won.
