The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 20-point-17 points, or zero-point-64 percent on Tuesday, to close at three-thousand-147-point-37.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose, gaining five-point-39 points, or zero-point-56 percent, to close at 967-point-20. 

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened one-point-four won against the dollar, ending the session at one-thousand-122-point-six won.
