The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 23-point-59 points, or zero-point-77 percent, on Wednesday, closing the day at three-thousand-25-point-49.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing two-point-81 points, or zero-point-28 percent, to close at one-thousand-eight-point-95.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency weakened two-point-four won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-170 won.
