The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell 42-point-31 points, or one-point-81 percent, on Friday, closing the week at two-thousand-290.

The main bourse dipped below the two-thousand-300 mark for the first time in two months. It was also the lowest close since ending at two-thousand-267-point-15 on October 30, 2020. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also fell, losing 22-point-05 points, or two-point-93 percent, to close at 729-point-36.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened zero-point-four won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-409-point-three won.
